FOR THE DADS

Having an emotional support is crucial to a mother feeling safe to birth her baby. As a doula, I act as a support for not only mama, but for dad as well. I act as a go-between between your family & the rest of the world. Especially for first time fathers: there is a lot about the birth world you feel unprepared for & you aren't sure how you can help your partner when they are laboring. I provide different laboring positions, massage, & relaxation techniques to help mom continue in the laboring process, & I am in NO WAY replacing you!! As a dad, just being there with your presence creates a safe space for the birthing mother, & allows her body to more easily release the necessary hormones for her to progress through the labor & delivery of your child.

I help reduce stress and worry for you as I am able to reassure both you & mama that the labor process she is going through is natural and safe for both mom and baby. As a doula, I can't replace dad's relationship in the delivery room but I am able to bring experience & an outside perspective that will help you as the father to be the best support person possible.
